This blog is a record of my life as the Lord shepherds me through His will. It is a testament to the lessons I learn, or attempt to learn.

Here comes a BLURT!

I saw this on Pinterest this afternoon, and honestly, I just had to laugh . . . and laugh . . . and ponder . . . and laugh some more!

It's time to get real ladies!  As married women, we all know that the deed happens . . . and sometimes, it's not even in our own home!  Hence the funny guest room pillow.  Some of us just might even be able to recall the very own child who was, uh-um, conceived elsewhere (blushing a little?).

So yeah, it happens.  Married couples dirty little secrets EXPOSED!  Just, always remember to thoroughly clean those sheets when your guests leave ; )

Whether or not you are married, dive into 1 Corinthians 7  right now for some great wisdom on sexual purity, single or married.

Better Late than Never! Christmas Pictures!

Ilijah's excited about celebrating Christmas!

New dinosaurs!

Snowman pancakes at Meme's house.

Bella looking forward to her breakfast, Ivangeline
still a little sleepy, and Meme cooking in the background.

Even the dinosaurs got in on the goodness.

Now for some good 'ol gingerbread decorating!

Ilijah delegating to Bella.

Tada!

The finished product.

Some quick shots taken in front of Nana and Papa's red barn.

These "set up and run into" shots are not my forte. Ha

The only shot she would let me get.

Again, not my forte, but hey, we have to get one together at least once in a while.

I did get quite a few good ones of Bella, but . . . this one is still my favorite.

And Imaani baby.
Notice Jacob's hand keeping her from rolling down the hill?

Cousins sporting their new jammers at Nana and Papa's.

Cute little booties.

Back at Meme and Poppee's house, the cousins are enjoying a dream light party!

Bella-boo about to fall asleep with her penguin.

My niece, Hannah, trying to feed me mid shoot. Cute!

Imaani, Daddy, and Poppee enjoying some rest time.

Merry Christmas!

God's Green Gardens

I am so thankful to present this video to you today.  I was blessed and humbled by what was shown to me through this film.  If you can take the time to sit down and watch this through, it will not disappoint.  I am thrilled at the amount of information I received about gardening and about the way they so thoroughly tie in the gospel at the very same time.  Please click on the picture below to watch the full length film and enjoy!

Little Confession . . .

Every week, I grab a bulletin at church with utmost excitement!  Why, you ask?  Because I absolutely LOVE reading about the brand new beautiful babies born that week.  Each one is such a blessing to me.  I also know that this is one more life joining our church and another family doing their best to guide a new little life in the way of the Lord.

A word of encouragement for Mommies, Daddies, & the young ones (Your lives were planned & He will provide and protect according to His will) :

Jeremiah 1

New Living Translation (NLT)
These are the words of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, one of the priests from the town of Anathoth in the land of Benjamin. The Lord first gave messages to Jeremiah during the thirteenth year of the reign of Josiah son of Amon, king of Judah.[a] The Lord’s messages continued throughout the reign of King Jehoiakim, Josiah’s son, until the eleventh year of the reign of King Zedekiah, another of Josiah’s sons. In August[b] of that eleventh year the people of Jerusalem were taken away as captives.

Jeremiah’s Call and First Visions

The Lord gave me this message:
I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
Before you were born I set you apart

and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
“O Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!”
The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!”Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said,
“Look, I have put my words in your mouth!
10 Today I appoint you to stand up
    against nations and kingdoms.
Some you must uproot and tear down,
    destroy and overthrow.
Others you must build up
    and plant.”
11 Then the Lord said to me, “Look, Jeremiah! What do you see?”
And I replied, “I see a branch from an almond tree.”
12 And the Lord said, “That’s right, and it means that I am watching,[c] and I will certainly carry out all my plans.”
13 Then the Lord spoke to me again and asked, “What do you see now?”
And I replied, “I see a pot of boiling water, spilling from the north.”
14 “Yes,” the Lord said, “for terror from the north will boil out on the people of this land. 15 Listen! I am calling the armies of the kingdoms of the north to come to Jerusalem. I, the Lord, have spoken!
“They will set their thrones
at the gates of the city.
They will attack its walls
and all the other towns of Judah.
16 I will pronounce judgment
on my people for all their evil—
for deserting me and burning incense to other gods.
Yes, they worship idols made with their own hands!
17 “Get up and prepare for action.
Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say.
Do not be afraid of them,
or I will make you look foolish in front of them.
18 For see, today I have made you strong
like a fortified city that cannot be captured,
like an iron pillar or a bronze wall.
You will stand against the whole land—
the kings, officials, priests, and people of Judah.
19 They will fight you, but they will fail.
For I am with you, and I will take care of you.
    I, the Lord, have spoken!”
